UNH Survey Shows Trump has Record-Low Approval Among Granite Staters in a Worrying Sign for Sununu

In Case You Missed It, a new UNH survey shows that approval of Donald Trump’s handling of his job, the economy, and foreign affairs have all “fallen to record lows” — a terrible sign for Trump’s handpicked U.S. Senate candidate John Sununu.

Sununu said New Hampshire’s U.S. Senate race is “important to President Trump’s agenda” and “has been defending” Trump’s war with Iran, even though an enormous 75% of Granite Staters believe the war is going poorly. As Sununu runs “to protect [Trump’s] gains,” 69% of Granite Staters disapprove of Trump’s handling of the economy, including one out of every three Republicans and 84% of Independents.

Two-thirds of New Hampshire residents disapprove of President Trump's handling of his job, the highest percentage to disapprove in either of his terms in oﬃce, and approval of his handling of the economy and foreign policy have fallen to record lows.
Three-quarters believe the Iran conﬂict is going poorly and a majority believe the conﬂict cannot be won.
Most favor an immediate end to the conﬂict even under unfavorable terms or without an agreement.
